Warrington Students,
As a member of the School of Business, you have a number of incredible opportunities available to you. In addition to a high quality education and study abroad opportunities, you also have access to more than 20 student organizations here in the business school. You have the choice to spend your time at UF doing the bare minimum, or you can choose to make the most of your time by getting involved. You are the only one who can make that choice for yourself but it is my greatest wish that every student in the School of Business becomes a student leader.
For business students, involvement in student organizations is one of the best ways to apply what we are learning in the classroom. Speaking from personal experience, I have found an incredible amount of value in my own personal development as a result of getting hands-on experience with student leadership. Student leaders are presented with more professional development opportunities, leadership opportunities, and opportunities to create long-lasting relationships with their peers. I know that I will remain life-long friends with many of the people I have spent the last four years working very closely with through my involvement in student organizations.
The role of your Business Administration College Council is to act as the link between students, student organizations, and the administrators of the School of Business. Your BACC executive board is here to provide consulting to student leaders and to students looking to get involved. We are here to provide quality programming for all of our students such as Business Bash and the Leadership Conference. We work year-round to develop and grow the Warrington College of Business Administration Community into a place where all students can find their home away from home.
To new students in the college, welcome! You will soon see just how awesome it is to be a business student. I encourage you all to get involved right away; there is something here for everyone. I encourage you to reach out to your BACC executive board to help you find your niche, we would love to meet you!
